Pattern making is highly specialised, both technical and creative and a vital part of producing quality garments. We are experts in digital pattern making techniques and use one of the worlds leading fashion software products, StyleCAD.
- One of the first steps to creating your design is developing the pattern. Pattern making is an art form and it requires technical expertise, knowledge, experience, and accuracy. Experience is paramount because the pattern forms the foundation of your design in style, proportion, and fit. At PatternWise, we have decades of experience in the technical art form of pattern making.
- We specialise in creating patterns through various methods. Our primary approach is digitally using our CAD (computer-aided design) system. Alternatively, we can draft patterns by hand, from an existing garment or create them through draping techniques on a dress form. These initial patterns can then be digitized into our CAD system for further refinement.
- The patterns are then stored and can be exported and sent to manufacturers digitally in the file format you require or printed as a hard copy on paper or cardboard. We can export your patterns digitally for printers to use for custom artwork placement and sublimation printing.
- We offer digitisation services for both single-size and graded patterns that you already have. These patterns can be input into our CAD system for further refinement, digital grading, and export in various formats suitable for manufacturers or printers.
